Public Relations

Pam Cook Communications offers our clients a comprehensive, customized approach that incorporates and aligns public relations with other branding efforts and corporate goals. We develop and execute a strategic plan that builds upon and enhances our clients' positioning initiatives in order to generate constant, wide ranging media coverage. Our first step involves assessing our client's market position, and how well that position is known by the media and the public. From there we develop a targeted message that supports the branding efforts. In addition to sustaining on-going public relations, PCC specializes in coordinating and promoting press conferences, open house and ribbon cutting ceremonies, corporate mergers and acquisitions, and fundraising events.

Media Relations

No public relations effort can be successful unless the agency directing those efforts maintains close relations with the media. Pam Cook is known throughout the industry for her close ties with the news media, and for knowing how and when to effectively pitch her clients' stories to the appropriate news outlet. PCC has the experience to successfully manage editorial outreach, press conferences, media tours, ribbon cuttings, and fund raising events.

Media Training

Whether speaking at a civic meeting, taking questions at a press conference, or being interviewed on television and radio, we strongly urge our clients to first go through our media training program. Our extensive training sessions include role playing and videotaped mock interviews. Pam Cook Communications helps clients to create a key message, and teaches them how to stay on point and control the flow of an interview. In that regard, our training helps clients prepare for dealing with the media under all kinds of circumstances, including during a time of crisis.

Social Media

In addition to developing exposure with traditional news media outlets, Pam Cook Communications also helps our clients utilize and benefit from newer and emerging media, including internet and
web-based technologies. In today's fast paced world of business, social media can often be the quickest and most effective way to spread your message, and PCC stays current with the latest and most appropriate technology-based media to benefit our clients' strategic objective.

Fundraising

Pam Cook Communications is particularly experienced in creating fundraising opportunities for our non profit clients. We help to develop special events, ranging from formal dinners to golf tournaments, all of which are designed to benefit various community and civic organizations.

Conference and Convention Planning

Pam Cook Communications is a one stop shop for production of special events. Pam's experience includes coordinating events for the Gateway YWCA, Mt. Valley Hospice, and, most recently, for the Piedmont Triad Livable Communities Summit featuring U.S. Secretary of Transportation Ray LaHood.

PCC's planning package includes development, selection of venue, production of support materials such as videos, brochures, and banners, as well as full service marketing and PR for the event.
